Dave, thanks for the game.
Yeah, sorry about my slow as molasses pace...this was my first 3000 pt Warhammer game, and frankly I was a bit overwhelmed by how many units I had to worry about! That, and as you said, the Orcs are frustratingly difficult to win with. I was surprised to see my squig hoppers actually last longer than one round of combat...I'm convinced that they are a great unit, I just need to learn to finesse their movement and get the charge off....at least once! I am also determined to make the best of my Orcs and Goblins despite the handicapped army book...As I understand they may get a new (hopefully more competitive) book mid year.
@ Chris - Thanks, really, for all the work you did setting these tournaments up. The scenarios were really great, and I had a great time with the 1750pt scale 40K games. I got lucky in my pairings (not to diminish the skills of anyone I played against at all, they were all hard fought games! I just could have had some more difficult lists to face...like Tyson's Nids, or Dave's Wolves...), so I can see why some hard core tourneys run 5 rounds....I just couldn't imagine participating in one that long!
Again, not everyone always speaks up, but I know they...we all appreciate that you stepped up to make this happen this past weekend.
Thanks
@ Todd - Thanks so much for fronting the prize support for the top 3! We all really appreciate you putting up with us and all our stuff every Friday...and on that note...see you Friday!
