Okay, so over the past two weeks I had some rules questions pop up, and finally I got the chance to look into the Adepticon FAQs 3.0 (The latest one,
http://www.adepticon.org/wpfiles/inat/INATFAQv3.0.pdf), and heres what I found and what I have interpurted to be the right answer, though if I'm wrong please don't be afraid to point me out.
If a model/unit is firing at a tank though two or more inchs of terrain, does the tank get a cover save, even if it isn't obscured? Pg. 13 of the Adepticon FAQs specifies that "In
all cases, a vehicle needs to have at least 50% of its
body physically obscured in order for it to claim a cover save." So going off that, I would say no, it's facing must have at least 50% of it obscured from the firer, regardless of weather shooting past area terrain or not unless that area terrain is high enough to actually obscure the LOS.
If your fighting a multiple combat against a non walker vehicle and you win combat and you consolodate, do you have to move away from that vehicle to keep with the 1" rule? Pg. 14, Adepticon FAQs: "Any consolidating model that moves must end its move more than 1” away from the vehicle. However models that are already within 1” of the enemy vehicle may remain there provided they are not moved." It looks like the unit can consolodate, but if you wish for those models to remain in b2b contact with the tank so as to be able to get "free" attacks on it in the enemy assault phase, you cannot legally move them and still remain in b2b contact, however, the other models in the unit may still consolidate, but may not move within 1" of the tank.
Do units with counterattack count as charging when they use counter attack and pass the Ld test? Adepticon FAQs, Pg. 16: "The unit only counts as having assaulted only for the Attack bonus. So, for example, if the unit also had ‘Furious Charge’ it would not benefit from it when counter-attacking." So going off that, even if you use counter attack succesfully, you are not hindered by things such as defensive gernades, but on the flip side, you do not benefit from things like furious charge or litanies of hate.
