Hey guys.
My name is Thomas Brown, I live in Orcutt and I've got a ton of boardgames I never get to play. I'd love to find some guys to play Twilight Imperium 3rd Ed or some old Avalon Hills titles I have. I'm married with five kids, so that affects my gaming schedule, but I'd love to hear from some new gaming buddies.

Thanks.

Welcome! I know we have a few people down in the Santa Maria area that might be able to play at somewhere near you. At Game Theory on Friday Nights at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo there are a few board gamers/D&D too. They are never on these boards (I think) so to actually get a hold of them you might actually have to come to Game Theory, though it is a bit of a drive from Orcutt.

Hopefully there may be someone on these boards that is in your area that plays those games.

Now, if you could convince you to come to the dark side (Miniature Gaming) we would have a lot of action for you!

Good luck, and welcome to these forums.

I also live in Orcutt and used to play AH back before being seduced to the dark side (miniatures). I wouldn't mind playing them again if you wouldn't mind putting up with someone who is rather rusty at them. I also have the Columbia games WWII block games that I would love to play. As a teacher and married, my time is limited now but come the summer I am more available.

Well, guess what? I have joined the dark side too! Just a couple of months ago I got into WH40K. I've got 1500pts of Space Marines all painted up perty like. I heard about this site when one of your guys gave it a plug at the WH40K tourney at LTG in Santa Maria. I was too late to sign up for the big battle that was fought yesterday, though.

Hi Thomas! This is Goodman that dropped the note at LTG.

I live in Santa Maria. So I'm a big AH board game fan. I used to collect, but no more. In fact I sold a bunch. :( Hard times. But I may be willing to give them a try again. Especially with Andy, that would give us the third person, which makes it the funnest.

Goodman

Hey Goodman,
Yeah, you'll have to join us. We spent some time today playing a WWII type block game, good times. You'll have to get us your phone number so we can give you a call.
